Meet your psychologist
Hello, and Salaams! I'm Shabrina Khanam, a Clinical Psychologist and proud advocate for accessible mental health care in South Western Sydney.
Over the past 11 years, I’ve worked with children, teens, young adults and families from all walks of life - across public hospitals, schools, and community clinics. Through this journey, I’ve seen first-hand the barriers many face in accessing meaningful, culturally aware psychological support.
That’s why I left the public system and founded this practice:
To create a space that’s warm, ethical, and affordable – especially for our diverse, resilient community here on Dharawal Country.
Professional Background
I am an endorsed Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA, holding a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Western Sydney University. My passion has been supporting people to gain insight and learn new skills for mental wellness. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).
My clinical focus includes supporting individuals impacted by cross-cultural and intergenerational trauma, as well as assessing and assisting children with learning disorders. Together, we can take small, meaningful steps toward improving mental wellbeing.
