FAQs

  • Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step and booked an appointment. The first session is about getting to know your story and seeing if we are a good ‘fit’ that is, can we work together collaboratively. This means that I will ask you lots of questions and you are welcome to share any concerns you may have.

  • Before your first session, you'll need to complete and sign the emailed ‘information and consent’ form. This form outlines fees, confidentiality (including limits), and how your information is stored, and it requests your contact and payment details. To ensure we are prepared for your first session and to make the best use of our time, please complete these forms prior to your first appointment.

  • Fees vary for different types of services. For example, IQ assessments for children begin at $900 for the standard WISC-V assessment and report. Therapy appointments are $220 per session, and supervision meetings are $200 per appointment. Please specify what service you need at the time of booking, and we can figure out a payment plan if needed.

  • Yes, I do. With a current Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can access a rebate from Medicare of up to $141.85 for a total of 10 sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates can only be used for therapy interventions/treatment, so they do not apply to Assessment or Supervision services.

  • Yes you can. To claim private health insurance rebates, please check with your health fund about their coverage for psychologist consultations. It is up to you to lodge claims with your insurer and process the rebate yourself. Please note that you cannot claim from both Medicare and your health fund for the same appointment.

  • At this stage, I do not offer NDIS services but rest assured it will be coming up in the near future.

  • Standard Therapy consultation are 50 minutes in duration. Appointment lengths vary for Assessment and Supervision services, please discuss with me if you need a longer appointment.

  • The policy requires 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid a fee. Cancellations or non-attendance with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a charge of 50% of the session fee. This allows us to offer those appointment times to clients on the waitlist.
